Memorable Moments for your Monday

Some of the most memorable moments at your wedding may be the ones you didn't expect to happen. A surprise guest shows up... ok, you can deal with that. You forgot your bouquet as you're walking down the aisle. Mom might not be so happy, but in the end, it's not going to ruin your day. Your husband surprises you with an unplanned toast to his wife. Ok, grab the tissues! Your wedding day is a rollercoaster of emotions and most brides will experience some or all of them at one point or another: Joy, Angst, Relief, Love, Gratitude... and sometimes those emotions collide and spill out all at once. For most brides, this happens a few weeks, days, or even hours before the wedding. For some, it happens during the wedding! And for one of my brides, Megan - it happened when she least expected it!

One of the funnier moments of our wedding was when Anthony and I were exchanging vows. I has said all along I wasn't going to cry - I never understood brides that cry. Well, I must have jinxed myself because as soon as the church doors opened, I lost it. I couldn't stop crying. While saying our vows Anthony said, "You have mascara running down your face". I knew I had to get it together! I sucked it up so the pictures would be good!

In the end, all that matters is that you and your best friend are now husband and wife; you had a fantastic time celebrating your love with those closest to you; and you stayed true to who the two of you are! Everything else is just icing on the wedding cake. And if you shed a few tears at some point in the celebration - well welcome to the club!
