Venue Spotlight - River Landing Country Club

Last week I got the chance to tour the River Landing Country Club in Wallace, NC and was blown away by literally, everything. For those of you that aren't familiar with River Landing or Wallace, let me paint you a picture. And show you an actual picture :)

Wallace is about 40 minutes West of Wilmington, NC down interstate I-40, tucked away in between Wilmington and Raleigh. It's far enough from each of these two cities to be considered a destination wedding, but still close enough for guests who want to head home after the celebration. Honestly though, i don't know why you'd want to go home. Last Friday I met with Madi, the Director of Business Development and the first person a bride and groom will meet upon touring and booking River Landing as their wedding venue. She could not have been more helpful, more friendly or more knowledgable on all the posibilities that exist at River Landing. Madi has been with the RLCC for over 3 years and knows all the ins and out of holding your wedding, reherasal dinner, bridal lunch or brunch, event a groomsmen golf outing. She was even married at the club prior to coming to work there. Now that's quite a testament to loving your wedding venue!

Besides having Madi as your right hand (wo)man to help you along the way, the other great thing about River Landing is all the possibilities and different venues available that you can use in different ways.

The Lodge at RLCC is an outdoor covered space capable of seating 125-145 guests as well as the option of hosting a beachfront ceremony just below the Lodge, along with a firepit, restrooms and bar. When you book the Lodge at RLCC, along with the space, you will also get all your tables and chairs included in one very affordable room rental fee. This is a great option for couples wanting a more casual outdoor space for their reception. It's also a fun and unique space for a rehearsal dinner. I can picture some awesome corn hole and bocce ball competitions out there!

For couples looking for a more elegant space for their wedding and reception, the Grand Ballroom at the Main Clubhouse is A-Mazing. The ballroom is capable of holding up to 275 with room for your band or DJ, dance floor and more. And I can't forget about those gorgeous, gorgeous crystal chandeliers. But most amazing of all is the giantic terrace just outside the ballroom doors that couples can use for their ceremony, cocktail hour or dancing after dinner. The space is so versatile, there's really not much you can't do here. Interpretation: a wedding planner's dream!

The Mad Boar restaurant and private event space is a third option for couples to use if they like. Within the space, there are a couple small private rooms - good for bridal lunches or small rehearsal dinners. But the Celtic Court Banquet Room, is the most elaborate space on site at the Mad Boar restaurant, and capable of accommodating up to 225!

There is really an option for every style and budget, indoor and outdoor; classic, eclectic or casual; intimate or elaborate. And if you're unsure of what you can afford or how much space you'll need, Madi can help steer you in the right direction. If you are in search of your wedding venue, I encourage you to consider River Landing Country Club. It's truly a hidden gem in Eastern NC with a staff who are determined to make sure your wedding day is an experience you and your guests won't ever forget!

Happy Wedding Venue Hunting!
